As Origin’s founding partner and Creative Director, Danielle Kristmanson boasts a wealth of expertise in mountain sports and tourism marketing. Her work with brands such as Whistler Blackcomb, Tourism Whistler, Salomon Sports, The North Face, Rocky Mountain Bicycles, Intrawest, Sun Valley Resort, Telluride Tourism Board, the Canadian Ski Council, Bike Parks of B.C. and many others has positioned her as one of the industry’s leading creative strategists and brand development specialists. Kristmanson holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Communications and Marketing from Simon Fraser University. A Whistler resident for over 20 years, Kristmanson balances directing Origin with her love for mountain biking, snowboarding, travel and being a mom.
Maureen "Mo" Douglas
A speaker, facilitator and consultant on public, workplace and leadership engagement, Mo has “walked her talk” with powerfully positive outreach and engagement. During her 25 years in tourism, events and communications, Mo spent 10 years with Tourism Whistler and eight years as community relations director for the 2010 Winter Games. She has since applied her empowering engagement and leadership strategies to major events including the Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games, and to local governments from Vancouver to Singapore. In 2014, Mo helped change discriminatory IOC policy, ensuring rights for the LGBTQ Olympic community. An active volunteer, Mo is currently vice-chair of the Whistler Arts Council and a mentor with Whistler’s Diversity Youth group.
Mayor Nancy Wilhelm-Morden
Entrepreneur and social enterpriser, Val Litwin, became CEO of the Whistler Chamber in September 2013, bringing with him a commitment to timely support and fresh, leadership-oriented professional development for Chamber Members. He totes a wealth of executive and real world business experience from launching and marketing the wildly successful, Kindness Crew, and authoring two books from this non-profit experience to co-founding the franchise concept Blo Blow Dry Bar. Most recently he was Vice President of Franchise Operations at Nurse Next Door, expanding its footprint into the US. Val's new mission is to elevate Whistler's business.
